If Tokyoflash has anything to say about it, watches with hour and minute hands could soon go the way of the dinosaur. Case in point - the Heko Blue Colour LED watch, representing a unique blend of old and new timekeeping methods.
In a nutshell, the watch has three LED panels. The top panel shows hours and the bottom two display minutes.
The top panel has six LEDs: four red LEDs in a diamond representing their respective analog times of 12, 3, 6, and 9 and two green LEDs in the center each indicating hour +1.
The bottom panel is similar to the top one, only it reads in 15-minute red LED increments, starting with 0 at the top, then 15, 30, and 45. Two green LEDs in the center indicate increments of +5 minutes.
Finally, the middle panel has four yellow/gold LEDs indicating +1 minute intervals.
Got it? The watch in the image, thus, shows a time of 1:43.
Admittedly, this is not a watch for the average person. Sure, it's got style with its seamless stainless steel bracelet and mirrored case. But its innovative time-telling capabilities are the real draw, whether you're a collector or just a smart guy who loves interesting gadgets.
